I AM ELADIO ARVELO
My origin as a visual storyteller can be traced back to one day in October 2007 when I signed up for an after-work introductory photography class hoping to learn how to take better pictures with the point-and-shoot camera that I owned at the time. Little did I know that soaking up basic concepts like exposure and composition would spark my innate sense of wonder and set me on a path of artistic self-discovery that would flourish over time. In June 2016, almost a decade later, I received my first jury award at an international photography competition, validating countless efforts to refine my craft.
Today, I'm passionate about creating artwork that conveys feelings of peace and serenity from various places around the world that I've been lucky enough to visit over the years. My artistic process begins by capturing the right light, the right composition, and the right moment to obtain the essence of a great image. From there, I post-process one or multiple captures to enhance the emotional appeal of an image while remaining truthful to the original scene. Finally, my process turns to printing, testing color ranges in studio to guarantee that each image looks as good on paper as it does on screen.
Using high-end equipment is a must to create exceptional images, so I photograph exclusively with Canon professional cameras and lenses. I'm also proud to be a Certified Professional Photographer, which is a designation of technical mastery granted by the Professional Photographers of America.
